I have been living with sight loss all my life as I have cerebral visual impairment caused by the cord being round my neck when I was born. I have some useful sight but rely on my guide dog, Pete to help me travel around.

I work for the RNIB, as part of the Counselling Service and I take the initial calls from those who are interested in receiving counselling. This is a full-time role and so when I finish work, I enjoy meeting up with friends and travel around the UK with Pete by my side. I’m lucky to live with my family and we have three dogs at home so life is always busy.

I’m happy to be a Forum member and I feel I can represent the “Working with Sight Loss” community.
