Sight loss is prevalent within specific Black, Asian and Minority Ethnic (BAME) groups, despite this, sight loss organisations engage with very low numbers of vision impaired BAME people and also have low representation of BAME group across all governance and staffing levels.

At Devon in Sight we are committed to creating an Anti-Racism Statement in partnership with Visionary the national body which represents sight loss charities across the United Kingdom. If you would like to help us devise some initiatives around racial equality and inclusion we would love to hear from you.
