Our award winning Community Support Service aims to help people with sight loss access a range of advice and support services across Devon. Community Support Workers undertake a needs assessment with their clients and prepare an action plan to help them navigate the Eye Health & Sight Loss Pathway and access equipment and training to help them to adjust to their sight loss.

Our Community Support Team run Community Sight Loss Hubs in existing community buildings in the key market towns across Devon to provide a focal point for community sight loss services delivered by Devon in Sight. We work collaboratively with voluntary and statutory sector partners, alongside volunteers, to deliver integrated sight loss services within local communities which are more easily accessible.

Applicants must reside within or close to the area of benefit and have access to transport. The role is home based but there will be a requirement to attend our Exeter office for meetings.

This project is part funded by the BIG Lottery.

Devon in Sight is committed to safeguarding so an Enhanced DBS check is required for all the posts.
