Devon in Sight Team wins National Award

We are delighted to announce that Devon in Sight won the Inspirational Service Delivery Award at the 8th Annual Visionary Conference in Birmingham last week.

Visionary is the umbrella organisation linking local sight loss charities across the United Kingdom.

Devon in Sight Chief Executive Officer Grahame Flynn said, “I was delighted to accept this prestigious award for our new Community Support Service. The whole team at Devon in Sight have contributed to our new Needs Assessment – The Sight Loss MOT which has generated huge amounts of interest across the sight loss sector. To be voted for by your peers makes this award particularly special.”

Grahame was joined at the Awards Diner by Senior Community Support Worker Cathy Duffy and Devon in Sight Ambassador Glenn Palmer who had recently been through the new MOT with Cathy. Glenn said, “The Sight Loss MOT ticks every box in my life. I learnt so much about the journey I had been on and the support available to me. I know that I am in safe hands. It’s truly inspirational.”
