Devon in Sight’s Jasmyn House Clinic benefits from Torbay Mayor’s Fund Award

Torbay’s Mayor Gordon Oliver has once again made his annual pledge of giving half of his salary to charitable groups. Torbay Mayor Gordon Oliver said: “This pledge is part of my election promise, which I have committed to every year since being elected Mayor. This Fund is in place to help promote and support the voluntary organisations in Torbay, who work hard to help local people and positively impact their community.”

Devon in Sight Chairman, Christopher Sumner was pleased to collect a cheque for £500 that will support Devon in Sight’s ‘Skills for Seeing’ Training which is held at Jasmyn House, Paignton on a monthly basis. Skills for Seeing can help people with central vision loss with daily activities like, reading, watching television, hobbies, personal care and getting about.
