Carers Week is an annual campaign to celebrate and recognise the vital contribution made by the UK’s 6.5 million carers, who look after family or friends. It also helps people who don't think of themselves as having caring responsibilities to identify as carers and access much-needed support.
In this challenging time, many people across Devon and the UK have stepped up to become carers for the people in their community as they continue to face new challenges as a result of the coronavirus outbreak.
We are celebrating and saying a big thank you to those caring for people who are blind or partially sighted in the community along with people who were already careers for a family member or friend who has a disability, mental or physical illness or who just need extra help.
