We would very much like to thank Judy Pride from the Macular Society for joining us as speaker for our weekly Devon in Sight Telephone Speaker Event.
Judy was able to answer some of the most commonly asked questions about macular degeneration and shared a variety of clever tips and tricks for making everyday tasks more manageable.
Other topic areas included how areas of usable sight can be identified and used to its best advantage with learnt techniques and equipment such as magnification and lighting and the continued importance of regular eye tests with your optician and how people need to act promptly to any changes in their sight by contacting their optician or eye clinic.
Judy also shared the current research funded by the Macular Society and the exciting ways this is developing.
