Charles Bonnet Syndrome can affect anyone at any stage in their sight loss journey including children. It causes vivid, silent, visual hallucinations which range from disturbing to terrifying. It is often thought to be a mental health condition.

It is not a mental health condition but caused entirely by loss of sight.
