Vacancy – Volunteer Visiting Co-ordinator

Are you looking for a dynamic and varied role and the opportunity to further your skills in the charity sector?

The Volunteer Visiting Service carefully matches volunteers to people with sight loss supporting them to live independently in the community.

The Volunteer Visiting Service Co-ordinator is the central point of contact for approximately 50 Volunteers and their Clients. You will play a key role in recruiting, motivating and supporting Volunteers who will be visiting visually impaired people in their homes. You will also undertake the initial needs assessment of the Clients and carefully match the volunteer to them.

You will be responsible for maintaining the administrative procedures in order to operate an efficient and effective service. This post is home-based but there will be a requirement to travel around the Mid-Devon area and visit our Head Office in Topsham on a regular basis. This role can sometimes be challenging but highly rewarding.

If you are self-motivated and highly organised, and have a genuine interest in working with people with a visual impairment, we would love to hear from you.
