Torbay Volunteer Cliff sadly passed away

It is with a heavy heart that we have to advise you that Cliff, one of our Torbay volunteers, has passed away at the weekend.

Cherrie Crook – Volunteer Visiting Service Coordinator for Torbay said

“Cliff was known to many volunteers and staff at Devon in Sight as he was a regular attendee at our monthly support group meetings. He also supported us at all of our local events, where he was happy to help us in any task that would assist us. He last attended at the Christmas Get Together where he received his Certificate for volunteering with us for 4 years.

Cliff has been an invaluable volunteer with us for four and a half years and at one time was visiting three of our clients at the same time and also carried out many “one off” trips for us. He was still regularly phoning his last client up to the end. It is very true to say he will be very missed by myself and his clients, he was a true gent.”

We are not sure when his funeral will be but if you would like to know please check this website news story for updates.
