Just to let you know that Brixham Blind Club have formed a new section of our Club, and it will operate under their Club Umbrella, and join the Disabled Archery Club, and Ten pin Bowling Club, who are already established. It will be called The Paignton & Torbay VI Lawn Bowls Club
They have been welcomed by the Paignton & Torbay Bowls Club itself, which is situated by Paignton Rugby Club, and they are meeting every Wednesday from 10.30am – 12.30pm throughout the Summer. Members assist them, and They have access to equipment whilst they learn and improve. Tuition is given on how to play as a VI player.
Membership of this VI Club is subsidised by the Brixham Blind Club, so it is £43 a year membership fee after the first 6 sessions, and you feel that it is for you or not. These 6 occasions will cost £3 a time, which are Green fees, payable on the day to the main Paignton Club whose ground it is.
After 6 sessions, you will be asked to join Brixham Blind Club, and pay the negotiated £43 a year full membership of the Paignton & Torbay VI Club.You will not therefore have to pay the Day Green fees of £3 anymore for the rest of the year.
This is an exciting development for Brixham Blind Club, and they invite any interested people to contact them and join in for a try. Any VI Registered person can join us, and should they become regular players we hope they will be in a position to join in with the Archery and Ten Pin Bowls as well!
