Linda Garaway has been volunteering for Devon in Sight since February 2003. She is based at our Head office at Splatford Barton and works closely with Steve Muncer our Treasurer.
Linda has been an accountant all her working life including working at the British Embassy in Caracas, Venezuela.
Linda says, “I was working for WRVS in Exeter before being approached to join the Devon County Association for the Blind (DCAB) in 2003.
I maintain the financial records for the charity including payroll and Gift Aid and help produce the annual accounts. I find that volunteering helps me keep my brain ticking over. When you spend retirement on a farm it’s quite nice to get out and about, put some shoes on rather than wellies and meet some really nice people!”
