Cathy has worked in the field of adult health and social care for over twenty five years, initially as a residential social worker for adults with learning disability and progressing through my career to differing management roles within Hertfordshire local authority. How things have changed over the years and for the greater part for the better.
During her employment with Hertfordshire Health and Community Team she was fortunate enough to be offered funding for a degree in social work and other specialist training in learning disability, dementia, autistic spectrum, health and wellbeing and community mental health. This gave her a wealth of experience in working with and for a wide range of people, teams and agencies.
She has always been passionate about the centrality of those that use services and how we work with people to shape services that meet the best possible outcomes for individuals, their families, friends and carers.
The standards of Safe, Caring, Responsive, Effective and Well – Led are the yard stick by which she continues to measure services, her practice and the experience of service users, staff, volunteers and carers.
